Clinical Director - Western NSW LHD

Professional Bio
Kate is an Emergency Physician with extensive experience, primarily in regional settings. 

Currently serving as the Clinical Director of Service and Innovation at Western Virtual in Western NSW, she plays a pivotal role in overseeing innovative initiatives like vCare, which delivers virtual critical care to smaller rural facilities, and the Rural Generalists Support (VRGS) program. Her leadership has been instrumental in establishing the VirtualADULTS Regional Hub.

Before her transition to the bush, Kate honed her skills on the Central Coast of NSW, where she worked as a clinician, Director of Emergency Medical Training (DEMT), and Area Director of Emergency Services. She also gained valuable experience in numerous retrieval services and with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Kate is passionate about education and has taught in both regional Australia and internationally, including in Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and East Timor. Her commitment to the field is further demonstrated through her past involvement with the NSW AMA Council and the ACEM Council. She continues as an examiner for ACEM.

In her spare time, Kate enjoys flying her Mooney, VMQ, exploring new destinations from above.
