- Disaster Training: Chair of the MIMMS Australasia: a UK based (ALSG) Disaster Training Program in the 1990s.
- Volunteer for SOCOG and was the Medical Manager for the Main Stadium during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
- Quality and safety work: Spent 5 years working part time for the Clinical Excellence Commission. Medical advisor and educator on CEC programs, involved in rolling out the Sepsis Kills Program, the DVT Prophylaxis Program for Lower Limb Injuries, the Between the Flag Program (Chair of the ED Chart development) and Leader of the team rolling out SIBR across NSW: a system for MDT bedside rounding.
